W październiku ukaże się 4-płytowe podsumowanie muzycznej twórczości legendarnej formacji The Orb, zatytułowane "History Of The Future".
The Orb to jeden z tych zespołów, które stały się inspiracją dla kilku pokoleń słuchaczy i twórców. To oni wyznaczali nowe ścieżki w muzyce tanecznej i takich gatunkach jak ambient, house, czy techno. Szczyt popularności grupy przypadł na początek lat 90-tych, kiedy to ich album „U.F.Orb” trafił na pierwsze miejsce UK Album Chart. Skład The Orb na przestrzeni lat zmieniał sie wielokrotnie, jednak od zawsze był w nim Alex Paterson.
W tym roku The Orb obchodzą 25-lecie działalności artytycznej, mając na koncie ponad 20 albumów i niezliczoną ilość singli. Z tej okazji ukaże się czteropłytowy box z najlepszymi singlami, remiksami, zapisami koncertów i materiałami video. Pakiet zatytułowany „History Of The Future” trafi do sprzedaży 7 października.
